Cape Venture Partners is a Cape Town based business development consulting company focussing on the wider information and communication technology sector. We assist small to medium sized companies in accelerating their business development by matching them with strategic partners that can provide either finance, strategic input or access to new markets.
Utilising our vast network of companies with highly-skilled resources and innovative solutions (own IP) we focus on partnering these companies with international companies where the synergies provide the international companies with "value for money" providers of products and/or services and the South African companies with qualified access to international markets.
Being highly selective regarding the clients we take on, we are prepared to share the risk with our clients by putting a significant portion of our remuneration at risk. Our business model is based on partnership, preferring the medium- to long-term engagement to short-term projects.
SKILLS
CVP consists of four partners, each academically qualified with previous senior corporate management experience and international exposure. We have all been entrepreneurs, business angels and consultants on our own before joining forces. With each of us being a specialist in either
- strategy
- finance / administration
- sales / marketing
- operations
and all of us having general management experience and a track record to prove it, we are able to analyse each company and perform the relevant due diligence assessments. Our network of associates covers intellectual property analysis and commercialization as well as technical assessments.
TERMS
Each project is prices based on the individual deliverables. Our pricing model entails
- an engagement / retainer fee PLUS
- a success fee AND / OR
- % equity
