UNITED STATES OUTSOURCING COMPANY

VIACK Corporation
Securely Communicate to Anyone, Anywhere with Live Audio & Video

DESCRIPTION
What makes VIA3 secure? VIA3 protects your data with end-to-end security at every possible point—from authentication, data transfer and storage to final transmission using an integrated system of authorization, encryption and company-wide security and privacy policies. All audio and video feeds, client information, files, messages, passwords and collaborative sessions are protected using a combination of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) protocols.

VIA3 for Information Assurance, a client/server software service, enables private and public professionals to selectively pre-determine classification of—and access to—documents. VIA3 creates a security hierarchy for the documents, while performing the function of an information gatekeeper based on an employee’s need—and right—to know information. By denying employees who do not have proper authorization and clearance the ability to access any and all sensitive information, organizations can dramatically decrease the likelihood that someone purposely or inadvertently will release such information to competitors, the media or others. In addition, once the proper authorization for certain documents has been established between individuals, they can utilize the additional collaborative features of VIACK’s VIA3 Assured Collaboration Service. For example, they can conduct a meeting, with audio and video, to discuss the document while each person makes their own edits in real-time. Once the document owner accepts or rejects the edits, it will then be saved in the joint, secure file cabinet for future reference.

Security Market: Costly Concerns
Organizations spend millions of dollars to prevent the possibility of unauthorized access to confidential information, but recent studies show it isn’t enough. To put the problem in perspective, the “2004 Computer Crime and Security Survey,” conducted by the Computer Security Institute and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, showed that 53 percent of the 494 survey respondents acknowledged financial losses of nearly $145 million due to computer security breaches. In addition, the money being spent to curtail these losses is primarily focused on securing the organization’s perimeter against outside threats of hackers or those with malicious intent. Yet, the same study showed that nearly 55 percent of respondents reported that security breaches were caused by insider abuse of network access. Adding more credibility to the problem, Gartner, an industry analyst firm, estimates that 70 percent of security incidents that actually cause loss to enterprises—rather than mere annoyance—involve insiders. However, today’s security solutions inside the firewall only enable tracking of who has accessed various documents, and almost never identifies whether that person had the need—or the right—to actually see the documents.

The lessons learned from 9/11 clearly established the need for governments and first responders to share critical information quickly, both internally and across agencies. This—plus geographically dispersed personnel, extraordinarily tight budgets, and new telework and e-gov mandates—makes effective and affordable real-time communications a key operational priority.

In the public sphere today, security is the Number One requirement. And in online collaboration systems, VIA3 is Number One in security. It's the only collaboration solution built from the ground up with security as the underlying design principle. With VIA3, you never have to worry about the safety of your sensitive data and communications.
