Certified Quality

Grupo Quanam´s Outsourcing Business Unit successfully fulfilled the requirements for the ISO 9001:2000 certification process for its Quality Management System. The External Quality Audit was carried out by the prestigious German certificating entity called TÜV Rheinland.

In May, Grupo Quanam’s Outsourcing Business Unit satisfactorily finished the process of the ISO 9001:2000 certification for its Quality Management System (QMS), with reference to provision of services for the information technology management, operation, consultancy services and support as well as for software development, set up and maintenance. The certificate issued by TÜV Rheinland Berlin Brandenburg (German certificating organization renown worldwide with a tracking record of more than 130 years) guarantees the adaptation of the group’s processes to the international standards as defined by ISO norm.

The Quality Management System involves several areas of the organization and encourages customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. Consequently, it has become an additional tool for permanent control and follow up of control practices. Auditors highlighted the high commitment shown by Quanam staff with respect to customer satisfaction, the managing directors’ close involvement in this process as well as the widely spread application of quality concepts, deeply rooted in the culture of the organization, even before having learned of ISO Norm.

Throughout 2003, Outsourcing, one of Grupo Quanam´s Business Units, successfully met the requirements for ISO 9001:2000 certification regarding its Quality Management System, applied to services in the areas of administration, operation, consultancy and information technology support as well as to software development, implementation and maintenance. The External Quality Audit was carried out by renowned German certifying company TÜV Rheinland Berlin Brandenburg (German certifying agency of TÜV Industrie Service GmbH).

In the follow-up audit report, the auditing team highlighted the following strengths of the company which account for the successful performance of the quality system: records containing massive information provide solid formal support to the activities undertaken by the organization (Grupo Quanam).

SKILLS
Our main strength has been, from the very beginning of the company, the emphasis placed on customer service. Nevertheless, such strength is shown in different aspects, from the diagnosis of the company’s computer needs to re-engineering of the whole organization.
