DESCRIPTION
PervCom Consulting is a global consulting company specializing in research, training and application development in all aspect of pervasive computing and communication systems involving wireless and mobile technologies. PervCom Consulting provides solutions towards the technologies, platforms, and services for developing smart environments. It deals with smart devices like smart phones, RFIDs, sensors and smart appliances, integrated together using advances in networking technologies that creates intelligent communication environment.

Current focus of PervCom Consulting is to develop software / system solutions for remote tracking, monitoring and management of objects, human being and environment using wireless mesh networking and wireless devices for business and societal benefits.

The company is owned by five-member board of directors. The board consists of management experts, senior academicians and distinguished researchers of international repute, software development experts in the domain of wireless networking and mobile technologies. The team includes PhD's, M-Techs and B-Techs in computer science and electronic engineering from institutions of international repute.

1. Dr. Sukumar Ghosh, Chairman
Sukumar Ghosh is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Iowa since 1987, having 35 years of teaching and research experience. He was a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Germany and was professor in in Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India for fifteen years. He is a PhD, from Calcutta University and M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from Calcutta University.

2. Sri S. K. Banerjee, Managing Director
S. K. Banerjee, superannuated from one of the blue-chip companies of India, NALCO, as Chairman cum Managing Director, Director (Project & Tech) and Director (Production) in 2004, has a total of 40 years of experience in Public Sector and Government organizations. He graduated from Jadavpur University in 1965 in Civil Engineering. He is member of Institution of Engineers, Institute of Metal, Millennium, Institute of Energy and Environment and Institute of Directors and fellow for Indian Arbitrator Council.

3. Dr. Somprakash Bandyopadhyay, Vice-Chairman
Somprakash Bandyopadhyay is a Professor in Management Information Systems Group of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He is a PhD in Computer Science from Jadavpur University Calcutta, India and B.Tech in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. He has around 25 years of experience in teaching, research and software development in several organizations of international repute, including PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd., Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute, Japan, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence, Germany, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Bombay and Jadavpur University, Calcutta.

4. Dr. Siuli Roy, Director
Siuli Roy is a PhD from Computer Science and Engineering Dept of Jadavpur University. She has worked in several national and international projects at Jadavpur University and Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. She has worked in a software organization on application development. Ms. Roy has also worked as a visiting Researcher in ATR, ACR Lab, Japan on Ad Hoc Networks using Smart Antennas.

5. Mr. Sanjay Chatterjee, Director
Mr. Sanjay Chatterjee is a B. Tech and M.Tech in computer science from Kalyani University, India. He is a certified ZigBee consultant and has worked in several national and international projects on wireless and mobile technologies and application software development using handheld devices.

SKILLS
PervCom team has proven expertise in the domain of multihop mesh networking using IEEE wireless LAN and PAN standards and developed and implemented MAC and routing protocols for ad hoc wireless networks. PervCom has worked with short and mid-range RFID systems and is also working with ZigBee-based mesh networks using CC2420 from TI/Chipcon. PervCom has started working on a Research and Development assignment, funded by Govt. of India and Central Mining Research Institute on “Tracking and Monitoring System Using RFID Tags for Disaster Management in Underground Mines”.

PervCom also has expertise in different types of software development activities starting from applicatiion development to protocol development. PervCom team has expertise in Qualnet and Ns2 Network Simulator for performance evaluation of wireless systems.
