LAWS is a initiative promoted by Law Associates ("L.A. ") a law firm based in New Delhi, India. We possess a collective experience of more than 15 years in various fields of law and experience. Our aim is to provide clear, concise and practical advice based on an in-depth knowledge of the legal, regulatory and commercial environment within which our clients operate and a full understanding of their overall business objectives. The services of LAWS are structured to offer an appropriate combination of legal and transactional expertise and broader market sector knowledge in a timely and effective manner and involving extremely low costs. The objective of LAWS is to provide on the basis of its inherent strength and pool of skilled advocate legal solutions be they research based or otherwise at one third (or less) the cost paid by a client or law firm as of today.

Mr. Atul Nanda is presently the Additional Advocate General for the State of Punjab representing the State in the Supreme Court of India . He has held the position of a Law Officer since the year 2002. He has worked on and advised extensively on Government policy relating to import and export of goods as well as taxation (VAT). He was involved in advising Government on the setting up of compliance parameters of various regulatory and financial issues.

Ms. Rameeza Hakeem has been the Gold Medallist of the University of Mumbai- Faculty of Law Year 2000. Ms. Hakeem has also been the recipient of the N.M. Wadia Gold Medal for Excellence in Law , The BJ Patel Memorial Trust Gold Medal for Excellence in Law, The VN Bhudhisagar Gold Medal for Excellence in Law and The Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Award for Excellence in Law. Rameeza Hakeem has been exposed to a practice of Constitutional law, corporate law, securities law, electricity law, take over acquisitions, company matters, regulatory law as well as branches of criminal law.

Mr. Uday U.Lalit is a well reputed Senior Counsel practicing in the Supreme Court of India. He joined Bar in June, 1983 and practiced in the High Court of Bombay from 1983 to 1985. He has been practicing since 1986 in the Supreme Court of India. He was associated and worked in the Chambers of Mr. Soli J.Sorabji – the former Attorney General of India from 1986 to 1992. He was designated as Senior Advocate in May, 2004 by the Full Court of the Supreme Court of India.

Mr. Nageshwar Rao is also a well reputed Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of India. He is the former Additional Solicitor General of India.

Mr. PN Puri is an Advocate-on-Record and is also attached to the Firm. He passed the Advocate-on-Record examination in the year 1980. He has been practicing in the Supreme Court of India, High Court of Delhi, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, M.R.T.P.C., Central Administrative Tribunal, Provident Fund Appellate Tribunal. Mr. Puri possesses a Degree of Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Law. He has a standing of 30 years at the Bar

Mr. AK Sinha is an Advocate-on-Record and is attached to LAWS. He passed the Advocate-on-Record examination in the year 1982. He has been practicing as well as appearing and filing matters before the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court of India for the past 28 years. Mr. Sinha possesses a Degree of Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Law.

Mr. P.Sekhon represents the middle level tier of LAWS. and has considerable experience in oil and gas activities. He is a professionally qualified lawyer enrolled in India as well as England & Wales. His areas of focus are petroleum and mid stream oil and gas activities. Apart from his Degree in law, Mr. Sekhon has obtained his LL.M. Degree in Petroleum Law & Policy from the University of Dundee, U.K. as well as an MBA in Oil & Gas Management from the same University.

Mr. Keshwani is also part of the middle level tier of LAWS. He is a practicing Advocate of the Supreme Court of India

LAWS normally promises a turnaround time of approximately 24-36 hours on a routine assignment and a slighter longer time frame which will be pre-discussed to your mutual convenience for a more complex or time consuming assignment. We at LAWS respect the confidentiality involved in the processing and execution of such delegated works and more importantly the related issues of attorney-client privilege. Hence we have set up a secure system and fire-walled transmission of documentation and data. Extra sensitive documentation can always be subjected to what we call a “tight channel” which involves the physical methods of scoring out names and “whitening” out of crucial details in the documentation received at first point of entry, encrypted methods of processing and access and review by only the top rung of LAWS.

In addition to the above methods , LAWS has several modules of operation which will ensure total compliance with international laws with regard to attorney client confidentiality. These can be discussed at length with a prospective client and tailored to their needs.

LAWS offers a three-tier option of fees:

1. Per lawyer per hour- Hourly rate $ 40- paralegal/ junior counsel
$ 60 to 80 – advocate, senior advocate or lead member
2. Per lawyer per month- Monthly rate $1000 for a research assistant/paralegal $ 2000 for a trained advocate
3. Assignment based Lumpsum basis As per discussion
