Ampersand Development Process & Tools (ADePT) is an enterprise-wide application used by Ampersand to maintain information and track business processes and activities. ADePT provides a customer interface which enables customers to track the progress of their project and monitor activities which would have a bearing on the outcome of the project.
Problem Tracking
Customers use the Problem Tracking feature to report problems/bugs in the project(s) executed by Ampersand. Customers can report problems in the deliverables after they are deployed and demonstrated to them. Customers can view, close and review the status of problems reported by them.
Forum
The customer can discuss issues/problems related to his project using the Forum.
Customer Rating
Depending on the progress of the project customers can rate the project to represent their level of confidence in the project team of Ampersand. This can be done on a monthly, quarterly or on the basis of a deliverable. The rating is done on a 5-point scale. A complete history of all ratings done by the customer is available.
Tools used
Some of the tools used by Ampersand include -
MS Project - used for project task scheduling.
RSW e-Tester/Silk Test - a regression-testing tool that is tied with the QMS process of testing.
E-R Studio - dB Modeling tool.
Status Reporting
Ampersand and the customer meet regularly to:
Review the performance of Ampersand against the Project Schedule.
Review the tasks achieved and tasks planned.
Identify any deviations.
Address any critical constraints.
Discuss progress and issues
Plan for the next stages
