Argea Intelligent Sourcing – is a process engendering smart and timely decision-making regarding those service providers that can best meet the needs of clients. We match clients’ needs against supplier attributes based on knowledge that we’ve gained from research, recommendations, referrals, and project successes and failures. In conjunction with our clients we identify the few ‘finalists’ that are best positioned to meet the specified objectives. Argea DOES NOT receive any fee from the outsourcing suppliers it recommends. Contrast this with the typical approach employed by most organizations and their consultants:
Developing a Request For Information (RFI) to understand what is available in the marketplace and how it might be applied
Developing a Request For Proposal (RFP) to understand the approaches recommended by specific suppliers ; and,
Developing the Request For Quote (RFQ ) to determine the price for the service

Often, the above process is employed with too many suppliers. Working with each supplier requires time and resources. Ultimately, the process drags out and may involve several iterations. Our approach is to work with the client to identify requirements, supplement that with data on possible suppliers, and then jointly identify the handful of suppliers that can best meet client needs. With this approach, we do not spend time going through an elongated RFI and RFP process. Rather, by identifying the handful of vendors that can best meet the client needs, clients can quickly move to a negotiated solution.

Argea Collaborative Sourcing comes into play once we’ve identified the finalists for outsourcing. Since the finalists are already in the short list, they are more willing to bring best practices, leverage existing infrastructure and work to re-engineer their processes.
